ROBIN'S DEBUT ...

My name is Robin, I am 42, and I am a born and raised Alaskan. I am a hairdresser and , do some substitute teaching off and on.
I am the mother of 3 daughters 22, 17, and 14. I have also suffered from Lupus for 7 years now, for those of you who don't know what Lupus is; it’s an autoimmune disease. In stead of having an under active immune system like aids suffers, I have an over active immune system, so instead of not being able to fight off anything because of a week immune system, my immune system attacks my body, when ever, and where ever it feels like. Its called Systemic Lupus, although luckily at my age, there is allot I can do, but with this silly disease, for me, I have never liked pills, but 7 years ago I found myself on 5 instantly, since then its rose to 7 pills 3 times a day,
My stomach could not handle it, I tried taking them at different intervals, always after at least a breakfast drink, or a yogurt,Still by noon, the meds were not in my body any more, they made me feel way too sick, so I'm 42 id done marijuana before as a
youngster. I went back to the doctor after still not being able to keep meds down, she suggested, Marinol, marijuana in the pill form,

The first thing I thought was "OH MY GOD" not another pill!!!! But I was willing to try anything, I had already lost 15 lbs, so, obviously nothing was working, I tried the marinol pills another "OH MY GOD", 10 dollars a pill!!! And my insurance wouldn't cover it, of course, so I chose to do it the old fashioned way, self medicate, after all, the medicine I had taken for years that had helped me best, previously, VIOXX! That gave me a nice stomach/esophageal ulcer, because I took it longer, than allot of people. I learned that in haled marijuana was the biggest help ever,
I had no nausea problems, the pain I have, just didn't seem quite so bad. So I immediately told my doctor, what I had done, because it helped so much, she said fine, "I'm glad you finally found something to help you", That was 6 years ago!! I have lived long enough to see horrible deaths, allot from Alcohol and tobacco, which are legal, and very destructive, I'll also be talking about our own Alaska laws, which are different than most of yours, so I hope this is a great, learning experience, for all of us, please feel free to ask any questions.
